Theatre Oxford is proud to present the tenth anniversary of its Ten Minute Play Festival on October 16, 17, and 19 at the Powerhouse Community Arts Center.  The performances on October 16 and 17 are at 7:30 PM, and the October 19 performance is at 2:00 PM.

Produced by Theatre Oxford, the 2014 Festival will feature five short plays, including the LW Thomas Award winner “Ski Lift,” and “Doin’ It Birdy Style,” the Audience Award Winner from Theatre Oxford’s National 10 Minute Play Contest.  Two locally written plays will also be featured: “Hamburger Harold’s” by Dr. Ron Borne and “Lisa and Jerry” by Jim Shollenberger.

The Ten Minute Play Festival includes a large cast of local talent and a committed group of directors to bring the plays to life.  Greg Earnest, one of the actors in “Ski Lift,” looks forward to the Festival every year because “it’s a great opportunity to be in a fun production with lots of Oxford actors.”  Mary Knight, director of “Ski Lift ” is enjoying her directorial debut with Theatre Oxford.  “Ten-minute plays are a fun way to get involved in the local arts scene because you get lots of experience without being overwhelmed by the requirements of a huge production.”
Tickets are $10 for Theatre Oxford members and students and $15 for non-members. Tickets are available at http://theatreoxford.ticketleap.com or at the door.
