On the actual Square Books birthday, September 14, we will celebrate throughout the day with activities, chiefly featuring the opening of Rare Square Books, which will be in the rooms above Jr, whereit all started, and Square Books shall then be “four stores on five floors in three buildings one-hundred feet apart on the historic town Square of Oxford, Mississippi.”

The aforementioned Rare Square Books will feature a variety of out-of-print, first edition, signed,collectible and quirky books for those seeking such bibliography. The prices will also vary and the inventory, quirky, with an emphasis on books about and authors from, but certainly not limited to,the South and Mississippi — similar in flavor to what the Square Books selection long has been.
