12th Annual
Festival Description
Home to the University of Mississipi (Ole Miss), past haunts of William Faulkner, Larry Brown, Barry Hannah and John Grisham, current home of Ace Atkins, Jack Pendarvis, and James Beard-award-winning chef John Currence, and listed as one of John Vilani’s “100 best small arts towns in America”, Oxford offers a unique blend of literary and artistic appreciation within the setting of a vibrant college town. The 12th Oxford Film Festival, a four-day event celebrating the art of independent film, will bring filmmakers and film goers from as far away as Los Angeles and New York, and as close as Oxford (and Tupelo) to enjoy approximately four days of workshops, panels, and social events. Recent years have included Academy Award winners and nominees, Independent Spirit Award nominees, and favorites on the film festival circuit in addition to local and regional films.
