SEC Pizza Bake-Off featured at 2nd Annual Oxford Craft Beer Festival.
It’s time again for the Oxford Craft Beer Festival and Food Show! Get your tickets for Saturday April 19, 2014 and meet us at the Castle Hill Resort on Highway 6 in Oxford, MS. The bounty of beer and food begin with more than 140 craft beers poured under the beer tent. The 2014 festival features the first ever South Eastern Pizza Classic in which pizzerias representing SEC schools will compete for a grand prize and your tasting pleasure! Beer lovers wear your pretzel necklaces to enjoy over 140 craft beers and mingle with brew masters and brewers under the big beer tent. Mosey on over to the home brew area where Memphis Home Brewers and Mississippi Home Brewers serve up samples and live home brewing demonstrations. Dabble in home brewing? Stop in on home brew talks at the festival to network with others home brewers.
The highlight of the Food Show is the chance to sample competitive hand-tossed specialty pizzas baked on-site by pizzeria’s representing the teams of the South Eastern Conference in the first annual South Eastern Pizza Classic! The winner of the bake-off will become part of the US Pizza Team. Also watch – and taste – as one appetizer, one entrée and a dessert are prepared by local chefs and paired with the perfect brew. Delight yourself in complimentary samples of food from other chefs and choice steak cuts provided by the Mississippi Cattleman’s Association. There will also be food vendors on-site
Your ticket includes all the beer you can sample, food sampling on first come first serve basis (local chef samples guaranteed for VIP ticket holders), event activities, live music performances, access to food and art vendors and complimentary souvenir mugs to first 1000 ticket holders. The main event will run from 12:00-6:00PM with the last beer poured at 5:45PM. An Early Bird Event will be held from 10-11:30 AM. VIP may enter the event at 10AM. Free parking is available near festival grounds. When purchased in advance ticket prices are as follows: general admission is $45 and $15 for designated drivers, VIP tickets are $85 and $25 for designated drivers, and Early Bird Event is $25. Tickets at the gate are $10 more.
