Who: The Ole Miss Big Event
What: The Big Event is a student led service day that aims to give thanks to the Oxford/Lafayette Community. The Big Event has been taking place across the country for years and this spring marks the 5th year the Big Event has been at Ole Miss.
When: Saturday, March 28th 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Why: The Ole Miss Big Event is a day of service which gives students the opportunity to say “thank you” to the greater Oxford and Lafayette community and develop relationships with community members. By actively participating in these projects we would like to instill the value of service in our students.
Where: Event kick off will begin at 9 a.m. at the Tad Smith Coliseum located on the University of Mississippi campus. Volunteers will then be sent to various locations around Oxford to work on specific service projects.
Special Note: Ole Miss Rebels’ Athletic Director, Ross Bjork will serve as the program’s keynote speaker.
