About the books
Meet and Three
Meet and Three is part memoir, part manual, and all heart. In it, Stafford Shurden shares raw stories from a life spent farming fields, running a Southern kitchen, and building businesses from scratch. With grit, humor, and unfiltered honesty, he breaks down the lessons he's learned about leadership, purpose, failure, and starting over. Stafford writes the way he talks: straight-up and full of soul. Meet and Three is for anyone who's ever wanted more out of life but didn't quite know where to start. It's a glimpse into the world of the mysterious and storied Mississippi Delta, and above all, it's a reminder that you don't need permission to build the life you want.
The Dean
Over his thirty-six-year tenure at the University of Mississippi, Sparky Reardon penned letters, essays, and reflections chronicling his experiences working with students. In The Dean: Memoirs and Missives, Reardon offers a collection of his memories, thoughts, and insights from his time at Ole Miss. The book provides a window into the entertaining, challenging, humorous, and occasionally poignant moments of his career, touching on topics like Oxford, the University, sports, student life, Neil Armstrong and champagne, and his passion for writing and reminiscing.
Stories from Ole Miss Baseball
Great stories from many of the greatest players and coaches throughout the years of Ole Miss Baseball.
About the authors
Stafford Shurden is a farmer, restaurateur, storyteller, and unapologetic champion of the Mississippi Delta. From the soybean fields of Drew to the kitchens of Stafford’s Market, he has spent his life building things that feed people, food, ideas, opportunities, and belief in what small towns can become.
For 20 years, Stafford has run one of the most beloved lunch spots in the Delta and developed a national following as the creator of The Tailgate Review, a show where he travels the South eating gas station food off the back of his truck. He has reviewed more than 200 gas stations and built an online audience that loves his mix of humor, honesty, and big-hearted curiosity.
A lifelong farmer, Stafford manages Shurden Family Farms, where he grows soybeans and corn while navigating the unpredictable highs and lows of American agriculture. His writing about farm life is honest, vulnerable, and rooted in the land and has been published widely and earned him a loyal readership. His book Meet and Three blends memoir, business philosophy, and Delta storytelling.
Stafford also serves as a catalyst for rural entrepreneurship. Through the Success Supper Club, and his community development work with Drew Enterprises, he is working to make Drew, Mississippi a model for small-town revitalization as well as a place where ideas grow as readily as crops.
A former Justice Court Judge for Sunflower County, Stafford brings a rare mix of blue-collar work ethic, business savvy, and community vision. He speaks nationally to business owners, farmers, and rural leaders about grit, customer experience, branding, and the art of turning ordinary moments into something extraordinary.
Whether he’s writing, farming, cooking, or building on Main Street, Stafford Shurden is fueled by one belief: the Mississippi Delta's small towns deserve big dreams and he intends to help build them.
Sparky Reardon worked for the University of Mississippi for 36 years. The last 15 he served as Dean of Students.
