Live Storytime for Children – Square Books Jr.
Square Books Jr.’s live storytime is a beloved community activity for young pre-school aged kids/ families on Wednesdays and both school-age and pre-school families on Saturdays. While the stories are great, Ms. Jill’s music makes the experience truly magical. Not only can you join the live storytime on their Facebook page, but you can watch past ones that you may have missed. Ms. Jill will post upcoming books she will read. Be sure to engage with Ms.Jill and share with her your recommendations as well.

Oxford Film Festival
Several filmmakers part of the Oxford Film Festival have shared their films online for the public to view. Choose from 19 films produced by Oxford and Mississippi locals ranging from historical documentaries to thought-provoking stories and light-hearted stories. Stay@Home Festival
The Yoknapatawpha Arts Council is launching the Stay@Home Festival – a community effort to help the creative voices of Oxford share their talents virtually. Daily online programs featuring local music talent, art exhibits, talks with artists, film premieres and much more can be viewed from the comfort of your home. The festival provides free content with the option to tip the artists or organization. Check out the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council’s Facebook page daily for upcoming live streams to Oxford virtually.

Thacker Mountain Radio Hour
While you can’t be part of the audience, you can still jam out and relax in your living room during Thacker Mountain Radio Hour. This loved Oxford gem is currently working with the scheduled authors and bands for March and April to digitally or remotely broadcast the show. Kick-off your shoes and dance around the living room during their broadcast. As always you can listen in every Saturday at 7 p.m. on Mississippi Public Broadcasting and 9 p.m. on Alabama Public Radio.
